WA Blackbutt Violin Swan Necked Stand

Main stem

The main stem of this handmade stand features a swan neck and is made from West Australian (WA) Blackbutt with an inlay of WA Karri and a Cambia Ash (American) pinstripe either side as well as a series of inlays using Cambia Ash.

Cradle

The cradle is made from American Black Walnut and is custom crafted to the shape of the instrument it will carry.

It includes a locator for the instrument pin to sit is lined with either cork or wool for the pin to rest on. This also includes two soft back stops, each has a cork pad for the instrument to rest against.

Neck and Magnetic Clasp

All stands include:

• a magnetic clasp to help keep your guitar in place.
• a cork pad at the rear of the neck for the instrument neck to rest against and to prevent the instrument from making direct contact with the timber.
• inlay and pinstriping that continue into the neck.

Base

This base includes detailed wood weaving using Cambia Ash in the same design as the stem.

Finish

All our stands are finished with three or more coats of Polyurethane.
